I want to paint something YELLOW…

I’m not sure why, but lately I can’t get enough COLOR in my life…maybe it’s the many years of living in a world of BROWN (thanks to the spec houses we’ve lived in) and thanks to a closet FULL of NEUTRALS (I always tell myself “it’s more of a classic, so I can keep it/wear it longer…I know, LAME excuse)…but I seriously want to paint my table yellow and each chair a different EXCITING color (one hot pink, one aqua, one orange, and one green)…and although I consider myself to be somewhat artistic…this attitude just isn’t me…but i LIKE it!!!!!! It feels crazy, it feels wild, it feels like I’m more in tune with THE CREATOR…after all, HE’s the most creative ONE I KNOW :)

Jeremy, It is easy to see why our son adores you…you are the best person I’ve ever known. You love God above all else and I praise God for your life and the legacy you are leaving for our son! I am honored to live this life by your side! I LOVE YOU, Happy Father’s Day!

“Thank you” just isn’t enough…

Today (around 1-ish this morning) we arrived home from our mission trip in Oregon. OH.MY.GOODNESS.GRACIOUS…it is HOT in South MS!!!!!!!!! Walking into our house was like walking into a heater…we soon realized that our ac is out of order!!! We miss the cool NW air a lot but more than that we miss our friends. Every year, God blesses us with such a sweet family to live with during our trip, and this year we fell in love with our family! They went above and beyond hosting us…spoiling us is a better description :) They graciously took us sightseeing, cooked a yummy pancake breakfast for us, got up early every morning to drive us to the church, etc. We shared many stories (which brought on lots of laughter and a few tears).  They were true examples of Christian hospitality! Thank you truly does not express our sincere gratitude toward this family…We love y’all!!!!

Some of our memories with this precious family:

JT asking OFTEN, “Where I going, Mrs. Cari’s house”?

JT asking VERY OFTEN, “Why”?

The story of Wal-Drugs and their free ice water!

The story of the stolen car (parked 2 blocks away)!

Seeing the Sahalie and Koosah Falls.

Going to the gorgeous beaches of Oregon and seeing the Heceta Lighthouse.

Going to the Leaburg Dam Fish Hatchery and watching JT catch his first rainbow trout!

Working for Jesus…

This is JT’s 3rd year on the mission field! We began bringing him with us on our yearly mission trip (Builder’s for Christ) when he was 6 months old. This year, we worked in Springfield Oregon and have been blessed more than words can express!

I pray that God will use the work for His Glory! I’m so excited God allowed me to be part of it!

My heart is full...

My heart is SO full right now. On Thursday morning (3ish...yuck) we left for our yearly mission trip. This year we are in Oregon building a church that has outgrown their existing building (such a praise!) JT did AMAZING on the way here. He was so cute on the plane and just seemed like a very experienced little traveler (which I guess he is). Since last year's traveling experience was such a nightmare, I guess I was surprised at how great he's done. But really, I shouldn't be surprised at all. God simply granted me the desire of my heart [once again:)] I had been in such prayer over the whole trip, esp over the "traveling toddler". All I can say is God is merciful and this is one very grateful momma!!! Yesterday was a neat day but a little stressful for me. JT made a new friend, Wyatt, and had a great time playing. Jeremy shared a word from God during devotional time at lunch [and it was, as always, a privilege listening to my husband's heart]. I spent the afternoon [while JT napped] finishing up my devotional for supper. I was REALLY nervous. The team we are with are, for the most part, much older in age than me and [for the most part] men...the combination of these two things made me feel pretty intimidated. I spoke from my heart and shared a message of being missional [in our everyday lives]. Since my nervous tic is tears...I pretty much cried the whole time which was embarrassing but I was glad I did it [but more glad it's over] :)
