The "sweet little church lady"...

I'm not one to complain (at least not to the general public) but sometimes I wonder "what is WRONG with some people"!!!!!???? Let me back up a bit...I grew up in a sweet small country church. I attended this church for over 20 years of my life. It's been several years since I last visited but my momma (who still goes there) invited me, Jeremy, and JT to family day. We went and were enjoying seeing some old friends. Then it happened. A lady came up to me and said...and I quote..."your looks sure have changed, you've gotten fat, that's a compliment". UMMM...NOOOO it's not! I didn't know what to say to this little old church lady...so I just smiled...it's the first time someone has called me fat (directly to me, anyway)...it hurt my feelings so badly, but I guess she was just being honest :) Gotta love those "sweet little church ladies"!

An adoption update

We have made a decision...

...and for JT's 3rd birthday party, we are going to do a "building"/"tools" theme...I AM SO EXCITED!!!! I've already got lots done...stay tuned :)

GO BOBCATS!

Yesterday, our local high school baseball team played the first game of the state championship series! We drove to JXN to cheer them on...We WON...and when we win on Thursday :) ...we will be state champs for the 4th year in a row! WAY TO GO BOYS!

I LOVE MOTHER’S DAY!!!!

 

To my sweet JT…I love you more than words can express! I praise God daily for you, my precious blessing! You have no idea how much you are loved! On days like Mother’s Day, you get to celebrate the love of two mommas…me (your forever mommy) and Momma Sarah (your sweet first mommy). JT, she loves you so much and because of her and God’s incredible plan, I get to watch you grow up. I pray you will become all that God intended you to be! Love, mommy

A Day Out with Thomas the Train!

On Saturday, Grannie, PawPaw Courtney, Daddy, JT and Mommy loaded up and headed past Mobile to spend the day with Thomas the Train!

Greeted by Sir Topham Hatt…

Spent some time playing in the Imagination Station…

Rode the train…

…which was “berry loud”…

Then spent some time with the “real Thomas”…

Note to Parents: Although JT LOVED this, I honestly can’t recommend this particular venue…the website had pics of actual passenger cars for you to ride in which this venue did NOT have (for this venue just picture a slightly bigger Kamper Park/Zoo train)…Also, it was part of an RV park which was (for lack of a better word) trashy…the loop that the train ride took us on was NOT nice…it had piles of junk along the route and it went by a creepy looking “chapel”…I feel as if this event is most likely fantastic at other locations but not here! The actual Thomas was in fact pretty neat to see, though :)
